Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are used to help reduce the signs of ageing using a non-permanent cosmetic injectable solution to restore volume to fine lines, deep wrinkles and sunken areas of the skin.

Dermal fillers are a popular treatment with Dr Sally because they help to deal with one of the major signs of ageing which is a loss of facial volume. Whilst this process is an inevitable part of life, dermal fillers can give you the confidence to hold your head up high with minimal downtime and natural subtle looking results.

Dermal fillers are designed to assist in restoring this lost volume and give the face back its plump and lifted look by safely and successfully achieving a natural looking, younger appearance.

Dermal fillers help to smooth the key areas that are typically associated with ageing skin, such as a sagging jawline, marionette lines, restoring cheek volume, thin lips and naso labial folds. They help restore lost hydration, improving structure and texture.

Dr Sally takes a ‘less is more’ approach, which means she can create a natural look that ensures your skin will glow and all while respecting the individuality of your face.

Dr Sally only uses the high quality Juvéderm® fillers by Allergan that are a premium hyaluronic acid filler using an innovative Vycross technology that will last up to 18 months.

FAQs

Dermal fillers are used to soften dynamic lines, giving a healthy, ‘refreshed’ appearance to the skin and, thanks to Dr Sally’s skilled aesthetic eye, you can expect natural-looking results that restore balance and harmony to your face.

Dr Sally won’t dramatically change your appearance, simply give you your desired look using our Juvéderm® products best-placed to address your key ageing concerns.

For best results, she advises all new patients to return for a dose review three weeks after their initial treatment.

Dermal fillers can be used in many areas of the face to:

Restoring youthful facial lift by enhancing cheeks, cheekbones and the chin area that may have become hollow or thin due to weight loss or age-related facial fat loss

  • Gently restoring natural-looking lip volume, defining lip contours and treating the corners of the mouth which may have started drooping downwards
  • Smoothing fine ‘barcode’ lines around the lips and supporting the ‘marionette’ lines down to the chin
  • Providing support and improving the shape of deeper skin folds, such as nasolabial lines (from the nose of the mouth corners), temples and brows

Dr Sally will carry out a detailed consultation and discuss and your suitability for dermal fillers, though, generally they can be used on a wide range of patients. However, filler treatments are not suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing IVF.

As with any medical procedure there is a risk of unwanted side effects with Hyaluronic acid dermal filler which are normally short lived and often related to the injection procedure. Following the injection there may be redness, slight swelling or bruising around the injection area but theses only usually last a few days
